Historic Preservation
hroughout the history of DAR Historic Preservation has always been one of the main focuses of the mission of the organization. DAR members participate in a wide variety of Historic Preservation projects as it is crucial to saving our history for future generations.

Welcome to the Noah Coleman Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR)!

We are a friendly and diverse group of ladies from the young to the young at heart. We come from a variety of backgrounds, careers, professions, and interests, but share one common bond of having an ancestor who served or aided in securing the independence of our nation.

Our chapter holds luncheon meetings on Saturday in the months from January through May, August through October, and December. There are no regular scheduled meetings in June, July, and November. Our meetings are open to the public where prospective members, guests, and family members are always welcome to join our meetings and special events. During our meetings, programs are presented by a variety of guest speakers to promote the overall objectives of the DAR relating to historic preservation, education, and patriotism. There is something for everyone to enjoy and learn.

We invite you to visit the NSDAR website to learn more about “Today’s DAR!” The DAR Library, located at national headquarters in Washington, D.C., houses one of the nation’s largest specialized collections of American genealogical and historical manuscripts and publications. The genealogy section of the website will guide you through the research process whether you are just getting started or trying to find additional resources. The DAR Genealogical Research System (GRS) is a free resource provided by NSDAR to aid general genealogical research and to assist with the DAR membership application process. The GRS is a collection of databases that provide access to the many materials amassed by the DAR since its founding in 1890.Our chapter registrar is also available to assist you with the application process for membership in the Noah Coleman Chapter, NSDAR.
